Letterpress is a relief printing with the printed elements on plates higher than the blank ones. Ink is transfered to raising elements and then it's pressed to the printed material.
Piculiarities of this printing process are the simple priting plate production as well as quality stability during the whole print run, because there is no printing plates moisturing.
Photopolymer plates that are currently used for letterpress are easy to make and save a lot of time in prepress. Besides photopolymer plates allow high resolution printing allowig to print one- and multi-coloured images with lineature 80 lines/cm, as well as sharp edges on raster elements.
