Screen printing - is one of the oldest printing processes. Initially screens were made of natural silk fibers knotty knit. For this reason the process is also named silk-screen printing or serigraphy. In screen printing the image is transfered from a mesh. Stiff ink is transfered through cells of the printing elements by a squeegee. After intermidiate drying next color is printed.
Due to high ink transfer screen printing has a number of evident advantages. For instance the ink layer is dense and non-transparent, the image is relief, which allows various tactile effects.
